Job Description
Apesan is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of vehicle-specific TPE floor mats. We design and manufacture our TPE floor mats for global customers, including aftermarket distributors, OEMs, and e-commerce consumers.
We are a rapidly growing, family-owned manufacturing company with a practical and field-oriented culture. We have 10+ white-collar employees and over 50 employees in total. Our manufacturing center is located in Türkiye; we are rapidly expanding our operational and legal presence in the EU and the USA.
As we scale our production capacity and certifications, we are looking for a practice-oriented engineer who will strengthen Quality Management Systems (QMS), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and equipment/mold maintenance disciplines, particularly IATF 16949.
This position is a hybrid technical role at the intersection of Quality - OHS and Production - Engineering functions. Ideal for candidates seeking ownership of systems, controls, and daily field realities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Initiating, completing, and maintaining the IATF 16949 project.
• Taking ownership of and keeping up-to-date SOPs, work instructions, control plans, FMEAs, and quality records for business processes across the entire company.
• Coordinating internal and external audits; following up on nonconformities, CAPAs, and closing actions.
• Supporting incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality controls; conducting root cause analyses for returns, customer complaints, and quarantined materials.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
• Maintaining and improving policies, risk assessments, and legal documentation under Turkish OHS legislation.
• Coordinating periodic audits, OHS training, drills, and PPE compliance in production and warehouse areas.
• Tracking accidents, near misses, and corrective actions; establishing a proactive safety culture in the field.
• Supporting environmental compliance issues such as waste, emissions, and chemicals in coordination with external consultants.
Maintenance and Mold Systems
• Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance plans for production equipment, molds, and auxiliary facilities.
• Keeping mold inventory and maintenance records up-to-date.
• Maintaining maintenance records, spare parts stocks, and technical service supplier tracking.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects for OEE, line reliability, and mold performance.
Qualifications We Are Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related Engineering disciplines.
• 3–10 years of experience in a production environment; ideally experience in more than one area of Quality/QMS, HSE, and Maintenance.
• At least one of the following certifications is preferred:
-- Class B Occupational Safety and Health Specialist certification, or
-- ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certifications.
• Solid knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and basic mold/mold shop concepts (experience in plastics, thermoforming, or injection molding is a plus).
• Familiarity with Turkish OSH legislation and documentation requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in root cause tools (5N, Ishikawa, 8D) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Application-oriented work style, not afraid to go into the field.
• Preferably good level of English (written and spoken); fluent Turkish.
• Knowledge of Excel and SAP or similar ERP tools.

Rights
• Net monthly salary: 70,000 - 100,000 TL
• Working hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:30 (5 days a week, in the office)
• Location: İkitelli OSB, Başakşehir / Istanbul (10-minute walk from the metro, no shuttle service available)
